THE ROSEN LECTURES
“The Rosen Lectures" conducted by Professor David Rosen. Three session courses during lunchtime breaks on 26th February, 5th March and 12th March, lecturing upon investigative discourse analysis, interviewing techniques and non-verbal communications, and drafting witness statements.
Prof. Rosen is an alumnus of Brunel University and features in Brunel Law School’s Alumni Exhibition that showcases outstanding talent. He has over 25 years of post-qualification experience and operates in civil, family, and criminal courts. He is intimately acquainted with the culture and approaches expected in each of those environments. He specialises in commercial litigation, family law and finance, with a string of high-profile cases as a solicitor-advocate.
Prof Rosen will be putting into context and perspective what is taught at university, as well as what is learnt in your early years of training and practice. These lectures are held on 3 days over 3 consecutive weeks.
Week 1: 26th Feb 2025 from 12:00h to 14:00h - will cover investigative discourse analysis.
Week 2: 5th March 2025 from 12:00h to 14:00h – will cover interviewing techniques, and non-verbal communications.
Week 3: 12th March 2025 from 12:00h to 14:00h - will cover drafting witness statements in civil, family, and criminal jurisdictions within the remit of SRA Codes of Conduct, objectives, boiler plate clauses, introductions, endings, and statements of truth.
Please note the three, two-hour seminars can be attended either in person at Brunel University of London or remotely during a Wednesday lunch hour between 12:00h and 14:00h.
